I remember (at that young precocious age) hearing about her performances in the basement of the Ansonia Hotel’s, Continental Baths. I vividly remember the genuine excitement and love I had for Bette’s music. I was curious and excited by her energy, power and the exuberance in her voice and bold, brassy glamour.”

Will Poulter

Beth Ditto is the latest of Marc Jacobs’ muses to front the campaign’s social media videos. Ditto features alongside her wife Kristin – with Jacobs naming the couple, “the REAL wives of Portland”.

It was a very personal campaign littered with inspirational figures. It’s unsurprising that the designer took to social media to mark the occasion and express his appreciation for the latest lineup.

An artful master of casting, the videos round off what has been one of the most diverse fashion campaigns, inclusive of all ages, races and gender markers.

“The energy on set was fun and frenetic,” Whiteside said. “Marc was a blast to work with and I’m so honored that I could make out with my boyfriend in the name of fashion. I adore how small I look, since Dan is in heels. It’s like the gender monster is looming over me and seducing me at the same time.”
